Iruvudellava biTTu!

There is a lovely poem written by Shree Gopala Krishna Adiga, a great writer in Kannada. The song is yaava mohana murali kareyitho .. the song has two lovely lines which appeal to me very much. In fact it summarizes the mentality of human nature. Iruvudellava bittu illadiruvudarede tudivude jeevana. What is available is not required. What is not available, is wanted. This want and the rejection form human tendency. If we have something good also,we need something else. We even are ready to lose this to get the other thing. What we don't understand is that if we do not find satisfaction in what we have or what we can get, we definitely will not find happiness or satisfaction in what we want.
It is like the golden deer Sita wanted in Ramayana. It would never come to us alive. By the time Rama catches it, it is dead.
Our desires are also like Mirages. We think it is oasis but alas, it won't be available at all.
But preaching is easy, practising is very difficult.
Well, that is life!!
